The menu may include one of a variety of quiches,
French toast, crepes, german pancake, strata, or frittata,
to name a few.
Many mornings, include a "fresh only" fruit compote or
plate display. Judy's Herb garden
supplies fresh herbs year round.
Chocolate Mint, Lime,
Apple, Lemon, and more recently,
added to Spearmint, and Orange mint.
lemon thyme, flat leaf and curly parsley, and
Cinnamon Basil, are grown as well.
Each morning, delectable, hot-from-the-oven, always made-from-scratch
fill the house with a tantalizing aroma.
Our signature jumbo
Morning Maple, or "Butter Pecan" muffins are the perfect prelude to the
main entree. Pecans come straight from our friends' trees in "Little Italy", Benld, Illinois,
were hand picked by the Schellers of Benld.
Norm and Judy cracked, hulled and sorted them.
Imagine another of our
first prize muffins, such as
Bananas & Cream with chocolate chips,
Peaches & Cream, Cherries & Cream
(with fruit from our own cherry tree),
Double Chocolate Banana, or
maybe another of Norm's favorites
New for 2011, we've added a Cranberry Orange muffin,
drizzled with the most delicious icing.
Guests may also be
surprised with a very "Victorian" scone, old fashioned sweet bread,
a slice of
Apple *Cinnabon (*registered tm)
coffee cake in place of the muffin.
Voted Number One
entrees by our guests, our 'Peach Cranberry Stuffed Croissants'
Judy's own Vanilla Syrup, and our 'Eight Cheese Crust-less Quiche' have ended in a tie.
You might also find that Judy's favorite,
Apple Sausage Quiche, The Queen's French Toast,
or Peach Blueberry Stuffed Custard French
Toast with caramel drizzle is the entree Du
Don't say "I'm stuffed" just yet ... Judy's own
recipes: Hua Moa Pua'a Ipu,
a side dish with a bit of Hawaiian flair,
Rosemary Potato wedges,
or Sour Cream & Onion potatoes, and Bacon Rosettes, Maple
accompany the extraordinary entree Du Jour.
Guests commonly state their pleasure with the escape
from the ordinary.
Not so adventurous....? We happily serve the simpler fare upon request,
such as scrambled eggs,
Steel Cut Oats, Cereals, a variety of toasts...
No matter the menu, we strive to please.
We serve KONA
coffee, which arrives by express, "straight from the Isles of
Treat yourself to something special. Request a flavored Kona from
our numerous varieties, or choose from our offerings of more than 75
black, white, green, herbal,
and "caffeine free" teas.
**We kindly request
informing us prior to your arrival,
regarding any special diets,
food dislikes or allergies.
This will insure that we have the
on hand to prepare a breakfast,
which will accommodate special requirements,
Gluten-Free, or Diabetic dishes to name a few.
Full breakfast is commonly served at 9am.

When there is a requirement that breakfast occurs prior to 7:30am,
please let us know well in advance, so we can prepare a To Go Bag.
